Staying physically active is one of the best-supported ways to look after brain health. Regular gentle activity can also help with memory anxiety and late-afternoon restlessness for people living with dementia or Alzheimer's.
Familiar, well-practised movements are often retained even as short-term memory changes. By practising everyday routines like rising from a chair and balancing in your own familiar surroundings, we aim to help maintain mobility and independence.
Martine works with families and carers so the same simple routines can be practised between visits, and can send written updates where you agree.
Martine visits people at home across Helensburgh (including Rhu, Cardross, Craigendoran and Garelochhead), Dumbarton, Clydebank, and Alexandria, Balloch and the Vale of Leven. Not sure if your address is covered? Please request a call back and we will let you know.
